Garri (Cassava flakes), also known as “grocery or G4”, is a popular West African food made from cassava tubers. It goes through a lot process before it becomes a finished product. Is it fried or steamed after fermenting, Pressing and Sieving?

When you say something is FRIED, it means that it has been cooked by submerging it in hot oil or fat, or by cooking it in a shallow amount of oil or fat in a pan.

When you say something is STEAMED, it means that it has been cooked using steam from boiling water. This method involves heating water until it produces steam, which then cooks the food.

So, do you fry garri? NO

Or, do you steam garri? NO

When you say something is BAKED, it means that it has been cooked by surrounding it with dry heat, typically in an oven/pan. Baking uses consistent, even heat to cook food thoroughly.

So, do you bake garri? YES.
